Murmurs:
Nothing quite like a traffic spike to get you to pay attention to your own website.
This is what I had finished by the end of the educational year. It amounts to what I consider a test of several things at once. Until this state, I only had a mental picture of how anything would turn out. I was close, but I've learned that while some things turn out how you would like, other things need to be given a bit more love and attention. The project will resume shooting when the weather dries out, as the humidity warps the paper.
"Taking the Sea" will be the latest endeavor into working with the "Stratastencil" technique. Still experimental, but with slightly more narrative, this project integrates a song courtesy the musical talents of Eliza Jayne. Visit the "Taking the Sea: Production Weblog" for more information.
Also: Western Spaghetti turned out awesome. I've been having an incredible time working with PES as of late.
About Javan:
A recent Graduate of Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, Javan (pronounced "jay-ven") intends to one day put emotions in bottles and sell them at a low low price from the back of a horse drawn carriage. For now, however, he specializes in complex creative solutions to simple problems. He uses his ever growing toolbox in an effort to mix mediums and techniques in new and unexpected ways in order to further the idea of animation as an artform.
